Our Alamo Chili Blend brings savory and warm spices including garlic, onion, cumin and coriander to provide richness and full flavor. A dash of carrot powder adds balancing sweetness without excess sugar. We then add a traditional touch of Masa Harina which lends thickening power.

There is much speculation on the origins of chili, but given that chili peppers, tomatoes and beans all originated in the Americas, it is likely that some version of the dish was cooked as far back as the Aztecs and Mayas.
