Our New Mexico Chile Powder comes from arguably the most famous chile growing town in the world, Hatch, New Mexico. Our New Mexico Hatch Chile Powder is made by grinding whole dried New Mexico chiles. The New Mexico chile has a thin flesh and an earthy chile flavor with notes of wild cherries.
New Mexico Chiles are frequently mistaken for the Anaheim Chile Peppers or California Chiles. New Mexico chiles are visually similar to Anaheim peppers but they have a different texture and are a bit hotter. They’re also considered more flavorful than the California Chiles.
